The U.S Involvement (WHY) :

GOALS OF THE U.S
 (1) Maintaining the strength of the U.S. economy while still building strength to prosecute the Cold War.
 (2) If necessary, go to war to stop the spread of Communism.

(3) Strengthening allies and winning the friendship of nonaligned governments.

The Domino Theory

Picture
This was a theory that the Americans believed in. They believed that if one nation was to be forced into Communism by another nation then all the surrounding nations would soon follow under communism. Which would lead to America being forced to politically be a communist nation. The reason the U.S does not want to be a communist nation is because they are already a democratic nation. A democracy is where the people's voices are being heard and their thoughts are what really counts.

THE FOREIGN POLICY

If one nation was being forced to have communism as their government then it was the U.S duty to prevent that from happening. The cause of the Vietnam War was because the northern part of Vietnam wanted the southern part  of Vietnam to be communists, because of Eisenhower's foreign policy, the U.S had to include themselves in the conflict. The only reason why this policy applies to southern Vietnam is due to the fact that the U.S wants to stay a democratic government.

Vietnam's Role In The Cold War :

Picture
The Cold War was a political disagreement between the U.S and the Soviet Union. The disagreement was because the Soviet wanted everyone to be communism government when the U.S wanted to keep a democratic government.Vietnam's role in the Cold War was nothing, they were just neutral, until the northern Vietnam try to change their government, so then the U.S got included.

Actions of The U.S :

Picture
Since the U.S was involved with the war, they had to do everything they had to do to beat the communists. They did this by sending out troops and  supplies such as machine guns and bombs. The U.S' large contributions were very helpful to southern Vietnam, because the U.S involvement increased the number of men in the war, increased and updated all the weapons and this obviously increased southern Vietnam chances of defeating the Communists.

In this political drawing,  it shows Santa Claus passing out a gift to a Vietnamese man, which means the U.S is increasing the chances of southern Vietnam defeat the communists with all of the weapons and men that the U.S is sending to southern Vietnam. All the Vietnamese are doing is receiving all that the U.S is willing to give to them.

This is a video of slide shows of actual pictures from the Vietnam War. It depicts all of the southern Vietnamese soldiers along with the American soldiers fighting in the war. The purpose is show all of the contributions of the U.S towards the southern Vietnamese. They received upgraded machine guns, grenades and men from the U.S.
